The Electric-Manga Project
So…
I have this favorite Online comic, or Online Manga that I am willing to call it, that I like a lot. The thing is, the author/artist of this Online Manga hasn’t redesigned the website sense 2003 ’cause they’re too busy drawing their proverbial-ass off. Meanwhile I have invest a buttload of time into the knowledge of how to design a webcomic but have no time(or motivation) to draw out said webcomic.
I can do something for my favorite artist while he is busting mad-penciling and I will finally apply what i know into experience. Win-Win, right.
I’ve contacted the artist about letting me redesigning the site and he gave me the green light.
I then gave a list of my Audit of what he has online, how he updates the site, and how the reader interact with him, and all website pertaining to the Online Manga and he was, like, “I don’t know what you just gave me but it looks good.*Thumbs up*” So I have to work around NOT, or little as possible of, having him learn new ways of updating his site.
Now I’ve coded the general design, downloaded 90% of the content for the back-up and for the redesign site so as to not use up his bandwidth while checking my work as I go.
Hopefully I’ll be able to finish the site in ASAP, but it looks like I may not be able to finish it by the end of this month. I know that if I can do this, my favorite artist can get more attention/cash; & I can final say that got a website did. (“So I h’ar you got website did?”)
Did I mention I’ve been doing this on a laptop that is older then this Online Manga that started in 2001..
…In Notepad..
…& MS-Paint..
… & In between working, like, 80hours a week?

I also don’t feel that he wants to go thru the trouble of learning new ways of updating his website.
- Main Page
- New Readers Page: A small page that gives new readers a brief exposition of the who, what, wheres of the comic before letting them dive into the latest chapter. [Just needs some witty writing and choice pictures]
- Keyboard Navigation: Found a javascript code that will let the readers traverse the Chapter-pages & FanArt-Pieces by keyboard,
unfortunately it isn’t by arrow keys.If you are planning to use this, be aware of the size of your pages. If your site exceeds the average monitor display, don’t use the arrow keys for any navigation for a non-conflicting User Interaction.
