Idea: iClippings
This idea is spawned from trying to find job security in delivering flyers to houses.
It’s warm outside and people are out to enjoy the wonderful weather. As I’m walking my delivery route, I find out that most of the people don’t use the coupons that I deliver each week.
Okay. That’s fine, but unfortunately I get paid per-flyer-delivered.
So if I could… “What would I do to encourage more people to accept the flyers?”
After several blocks of delivering, I came up with this;
“A grocery store could add a URL code to the coupons.”
(I currently don’t have any drawing programs that will allow me to illustrate this, so if you could bear with it.)
- The URL on the Coupon in the flyer(henceforth named Hardcopy Coupon ) would be linked to a Virtual Coupon that has the same savings as the Hardcopy Coupon.
- The Virtual Coupon exists in the Online Grocery Store and after being access online is then added to the Customer’s Account on the Online Grocery Store.
- The Customer’s Account online is linked to a one of those Reward’s Card/Tag-thingy. The Card/Tag-thingy can uses the Virtual Coupon, that was loaded onto the Card/Tag-thingy, upon checking-out of the Grocery store.
You load different Coupon URLs onto your Card/Tag-thingy.
You use your Card/Tag-thingy as a replacement to the Hardcopy Coupons that you may not have remembered to bring you.
The Virtual Coupons have the same savings the Hardcopy Coupons so this doesn’t shun those that are use to using Hardcopy Coupons.
The flyers, and those who need the job delivering them, don’t go to waste. This method is also open to adding Rewards, Bonuses, Frequent Buyer Benefits and other things to the Customer’s Account. Maybe even, a shopping list that the customer created online that shows what they have forgotten on their receipt?
The intention is to change the visual image of Coupons

…
Yeah. I don’t know how to end this. I had plenty of other things to talk about that could be related to this but I would be forgetting the point of making this post.
….so~ …yeah. BACKTOWORK!
